Announcing the hd family fest 2015!

The hd family Fest is going to return for the second year. It was a small fest this year, but it produced wonderful stories. I hope the fest will be bigger and better next year. For those who may not have heard of it, the hd family fest is a prompt based fest for the pairing of Harry Potter and Draco Malfoy. The purpose of the fest is to create fic and art celebrating the idea of Harry and Draco as a couple and as parents. The fanworks can be about established relationships, they can include mpreg or they could be epilogue compliant fics where Harry and Draco get together long after they've become fathers.

They could feature the next-gen kids or they could just be about Harry and Draco raising Teddy together. They do not necessarily have to be together at the beginning of the story, but they do have to be a couple by the end of it. The stories can be fluffy or angsty, but they need to have happy endings. It is not absolutely necessary that all the stories have to feature kids. Stories about Harry and Draco learning to be a couple and learning to live together would also be fine.

Schedule:

Prompting begins 16th October, 2014
Prompting closes 26th October, 2014
Claiming opens 27th October, 2014
Claiming closes 27th December, 2014
Posting begins 16th Feb, 2015

On your posting date which can be anything from 16th Feb to 2nd March. If you are finished with your fic, just pick a date and post it.

How do I post my fic when my date comes up? I looked on A03, but all I found were fics from last March. Have any fics been posted for this year yet?

No fics have been posted for this year yet. You can post your fic to AO3 and add it to the HD Familyfest collection. Then post the header of the fic to hdfamilyfest on LJ and link it to AO3.

Just a question. My fic is going to come in at about 30,000 words. Should I post it all together or break it in half over two days?

Post it on one day on AO3. Break it up into two chapters if you want, but post them both on the same day. Post the header and the link to the hd family fest community.

Is this fest still running? Posting was supposed to begin on 16 February but nothing has gone up yet. I just want to know whether to take this off the schedule at Potterfests or whether the start has simply been postponed. Thanks.
