Thank you! I am so pleased you enjoyed it- particularly the characterisations :D This makes me so happy!

OH MY GOD. I can't believe you wrote this WONDERFUL 30K FIC for my prompt! SERIOUSLY. Thank you for sticking with it even when it refused to be written! I'm really touched by how much effort and time you put into this one ♥

Now on to the fic!

WARNING: Overuse of capitalisation and crazy flailing ♥

Harry tried very hard not to think about how this was the last time he’d be hearing that voice. *sniffles* Thank you for writing flangst for me. This gave me ALL THE FEELS. And that whole scene with Draco having to leave! HARRY AND DRACO OMG THEY ARE MEANT TO BE. And AHHH THE BOXES. I love how you made such a simple thing so poignant. And the end of the scene omg T_T

I love the little details about coffee being a spice :') It seems just like the kind of thing Draco would do.

Aww, curse-breaker!Bill makes a cameo!

POOR HARRY. YOU DON'T WANT TO DIVORCE DRACO. DRACO DOESN'T WANT TO DIVORCE YOU. GO BE HAPPY TOGETHER FOREVER.

PANSY! Pansy will save the day <3 Gosh I love Pansy throwing out the bait and seeing if Harry will bite.

There was a blatant honesty in Draco’s work. It took getting used to. It was like everything he couldn’t express in words or actions came out in his sketches. Wow. This held so much.

The scrapbook. Is inspired. I loved the flashbacks in different POVs!! Harry and Draco sniping at each other was hilarious! AND THEIR WEDDING VOWS! Hahahaha <3

Oh god. The two of them learning to live with each other is absolutely hilarious. HAHAHAHA I totally cracked up at that image of Draco Blasting all the plates so that Harry would have no choice but to wash the plate that was in the sink. SO INSPIRED. And OH GOD. How that kitchen tussle ended was so full of delicious tension ;) And THE PICTURE. (I have such an uncontrollable urge to see all the pictures right now.)

And he definitely couldn’t confront Malfoy and tell him to stop licking spoons and being so bloody tall and slim. HAHAHA. I'm really loving the slow build of tension here! AND OH MY GOD THE ST MUNGO'S SCENE. *sniffles*

Gosh I love the slice-of-life scenes so much.

THEIR FIRST KISS. Was so many ways perfect, I loved it so much.

OH NO THE BOND D: IS GONE D: D:

The bond was gone now and there was no time left. This almost made me tear. SO MUCH.

OH GOD OUR BOYS DANCING AROUND EACH OTHER. I seriously teared here. OH MY GOD.

AND HARRY'S FRIENDS SAVE THE DAY ♥♥♥ Blackmailing!Ron <333 I love your Ron so much! “I can harass International Affairs some more,” Ron offered, flaring up the floo as he spoke. “Oi, Anderson! You still there?”

ONLY HARRY AND DRACO COULD END UP ARGUING WITH EACH OTHER AGAIN! *whacks both of them with a baguette* So much love though! <33

Aww, Bill/Pansy at the end! Yayyy!

This was so wonderful. I loved it so so much. Having Draco only appear in flashbacks for much of the fic made that feeling of separation even more stark, and it meant so much more when he finally came back to Harry at the end of the fic. And seriously, the sex was hot! You could really feel all that frustrated tension.

This was lovely dear. I really have to thank you once again for bringing me on such a perfect ride <333 *glomps and huggles forever*

Oh gods, I love you so much for this! As I mentioned before, I have been squeeing over this comment ever since it was posted!

*coos and pets*

I am so glad I could write this for you, luv- even though I'll admit at one point, it seemed unlikely. But it happened, yay! Thank you for such kind words and for being so lovely.

*hugs*

I know that it was really difficult for me to give away this fic to another beta because I really loved it so much and I wanted to see how it ended.

This was just so beautifully written, and I especially adored everyone's POV being incorporated in the fic. This is such a unique way to tell such a beautiful and heartwarming story.

Thanks so much for giving us this gem. I really just love it oh-so-much!

ETA: There’s probably a Rue du Ferret or something in Paris. I’d start there. --- I LAUGHED SO HARD.

You are so amazing, you know that?! If I had my way, you'd be my beta forever and ever! Either way, you're the only reason this fic ever got off the ground. Without you and E, I would have crashed and burned!

And aww, your lovely comment! *snuggles*

So glad you enjoyed Rue du Ferret. That one had me snickering for a bit :D I just had to put it in ;)

Omg. I have so many feels for this fic and I can't even figure out how to express them. I want to just capslock everywhere. I adore this fic. I just want to wallow in my feels for it. Bravo author.

Oh my god, I can't believe I didn't comment after I read this.

I absolutely adored this. You completely had me entranced from the first sentence I couldn't stop reading (which wasn't good because I had a cake in the oven!). An absolutely fantastic read, I loved how Harry couldn't say that he loved Draco and the silly boys not talking, just assuming.

Beautiful.

*blushes*

Thank you so much. I am so glad you enjoyed this not-so-little fic. It was a labour of love, really. Your lovely words means the world to me :D

That was amazing! I've loved every single word of it! The characterization was perfect, the pining, all the other characters, it was brilliant!

Thank you so much for this great read! :)

I will need to come back to this - it has choked me and I am speechless - this is so amazing. There are too many places that make me go - this is wonderful I want to quote it.

This is going on my favorits list - it is a story to be reread again and again and again.

Oh, darling! *hugs*

Thank you so very much. I'm thrilled you enjoyed it, and I hope you'll read it again (and again, and again).

will do that! It is a wonderful work and deserves the recognition!
capitu[personal profile] capitu on March 12th, 2014 12:12 pm (UTC)
Dear mystery author, thank you! This was an amazing story. I enjoyed it all the way.

It's just everything about it! I'm so excited I almost don't know what to say. I loved it. That first scene with the three boxes and how perfectly you said it, how small and innocuous they were about everything they represented, the resentment Harry felt towards them, and then going back through their story, through their marriage in this way, seeing those early fights, from the moment the bond happened, the plate (oh my god, the plate!) and the coffee, and then how their friends started to perceive something was different with them, how they had something good, something that worked, those small gesture that told so much, that spoke of love, showing how deeply they cared for each other to this, this insane difficulty to actually talk.

They were touching and funny, which was amazing. I admit at parts I might have a tear down my face because you touched me, truly. And then when he finally saw, Harry, and how everybody left everything and came to help. And Bill! Oh, Bill, he was fantastic. I have the hugest crush on your Bill, brilliant!Bill! <3 But so was Ron and Pansy and all of them to be honest. I loved them all.

Instant favourite, you wrote a beautiful love story, with the right touch of pining and funny moments, perfectly balanced and I loved it. Thank you for this.
[identity profile] dracogotgame.livejournal.com on March 24th, 2014 12:24 pm (UTC)
You are just...I am GLOMPING you and never letting go, get used to it :D

First, the comment. You have just encapsulated everything I tried to convey in this behemoth of a fic and you did it so beautifully! And I LOVE you for loving Bill. I confess I enjoyed writing him in this role, it was challenging and new and I am so thankful that it worked for you!

And your rec and the love that followed! You are just so perfect!

Thank you so much for making my day (over and over again). You're the best, darling *hugs*

THIS FIC IS THE DEFINITION OF MOST PERFECT FLANGST. So funny, romantic and sexy. Oh the boys and their communication issues. *shakes head* *smacks them a few times for good measure*.

I loved all the side characters in this story so much. Teddy! Narcissa! Ron who notices things \o/! Also, how did you manage to sneak in Bill/Pansy and Blaise/Ginny and make it so good? TOO SNEAKY!

[identity profile] dracogotgame.livejournal.com on March 24th, 2014 12:25 pm (UTC)
Thank you so much! I really enjoyed writing this fic, so your lovely words just clinch it for me. Aww, I do love/hate their communication issues. They make me want to whack them with a baguette, those silly boys <33

Thank you so much for liking the side characters, they were a ton of fun to write. The pairings just had to happen, you know? Thank you (yet again) for making my day!
[identity profile] bloodisshrp.livejournal.com on March 13th, 2014 04:46 pm (UTC)
This fic is made of all things awesome! I loved it so much I want to carry it around with me and read whenever I have time! <3

All this because some dunce had decided to put Malfoy and Potter within five miles of each other without adult supervision. *sniggers*

I loved the description of Draco's art and the blasting of the coffee maker (the horror!) and just the two of them being aboslute idiots 'cause they can't talk about their feelings! tsk tsk *shakes head*

And thank you for giving me Blaise/Pansy as a new pairing!
[identity profile] dracogotgame.livejournal.com on March 24th, 2014 12:26 pm (UTC)
Thank you so much! I hope you do just that *grins*

Haha, poor Kingsley! Those two really do need a babysitter.

I had so much fun with the coffee and the art, and I'm thrilled that the side pairings worked for you. Thank you for a lovely comment <3
[identity profile] anemonen.livejournal.com on March 14th, 2014 11:16 am (UTC)
Oh, what a lovely fic! I loved this untraditional version of a bonding!fic. The way we get the ending of the bond first. It got so emotional and it made me go teary eyed more than once. The trip down memory lane was wonderfully written, and you managed to show their journey from hate to love perfectly through those little glimpses. And the ending was perfect! The smut, he "wedding" and Pansy/Bill <333 great work!!
[identity profile] dracogotgame.livejournal.com on March 24th, 2014 12:28 pm (UTC)
Thank you, darling. I loved writing an- as you said- unconventional bonding fic. It started out the normal way and I was halfway through...and then I got bored *snickers*

Nevertheless, I am thrilled you liked it because I really wasn't sure it would work this way. I don't write flashbacks much so I wasn't very confident. But I love that you enjoyed it and your wonderful words make me so very happy.

Thank you!
birdsofshore[personal profile] birdsofshore on March 20th, 2014 01:24 pm (UTC)
BRAVO, MA, this was all kinds of marvellous! Here via capitu's rec, and very glad to be here. It was just the right mix of fluff, angst, pining, and emotions, but without sappiness. And then, when they finally talked it out, and ended up screaming at each other again - LOLOL. You really caught their dynamic perfectly.

With getting-back-together!fic, there's always the danger that the smut is going to be just so so romantic and perfect and disgustingly sweet, but this was very nice indeed. I loved Harry's jealousy and fierceness, and Draco's frank desperation. Delicious! You handled every stage of their story with assurance and never steered us wrong. Loved it.

A hearty well done to you, and I am looking forward to reveals!
[identity profile] dracogotgame.livejournal.com on March 24th, 2014 12:31 pm (UTC)
Darling, you are getting GLOMPED for this :D

When I saw your rec I was just like...oh my GOD, birds recced me! Birds liked my fic! There may or may not have been some flailing involved.

*will never tell*

Anyhoo, thank you for such wonderful words, for really putting the essence of this fic so succinctly. And yes! I am so glad it didn't get mushy! Turns out I really can't write mushy, but I really did try not to go down that road and it is awesome that you liked that about this fic!

Thank you for making this that much more special

*hugs forever*
cunning as a weevil[personal profile] firethesound on March 20th, 2014 10:15 pm (UTC)
This was just amazing and wonderful and heartbreaking in all the right ways. I loved all the flashbacks and all the brilliant little details you worked in throughout this. The coffee in the spice rack, and all of Draco's sketches and how Harry was the one to encourage him to pursue his art, and how it took them time to work out how to live with each other and then longer to work out that they wanted to keep doing it.

I loved how we get the middle of the story first with the end of the bond, and then the beginning is revealed in bits and pieces while it builds up to the end. And how at the end Harry doesn't even know Draco's address so he calls in all the reinforcements, and I was so glad when Draco himself walked in. The ending was just wonderful, lovely job! <3
[identity profile] dracogotgame.livejournal.com on March 24th, 2014 12:33 pm (UTC)
Thank you so much! I'm thrilled that the timeline and pacing of this story worked so well for you- I really didn't want to write a bonding fic from start to end. It seemed so long and...well, long XD

I love that you enjoyed the references to Draco's art and all the coffee (which snuck itself, in there for some reason idek).

Thank you so much for such lovely words <33
