This was brilliant, absolutely brilliant. I was hooked from the first three lines. The three words: I want out was just a beautiful way to start the story. So, I'm afraid I'm going to get a bit rambly here, but that's what happens when I like something a lot and even though I read this a day or so after it posted, it really stayed with me and I've caught myself thinking of it on and off since then.
The tone, your characterization, Harry's voice in this was just perfect, and the way he slowly came to realize and correct his mistakes, and how the problems they're having with communication are also Draco's fault even if he doesn't want to admit it, and how throughout it all and all of their problems they're both so incredibly devoted to Lily. And Lily! She was lovely. And that first kiss after their argument! <3
Everything about this just felt incredibly realistic, the dialogue and action and descriptions. It was heartbreaking in all the right ways, with just enough little bits of humor and hope sprinkled in to take the edge off. Just perfect.
This was such a wonderful, brilliant story, I've already read it twice, and I'm sure I'll be rereading it again.
